Mae Blackmore

Mae Blackmore

returns with a new piece to grace the Revival Tent Stage. “Origins” was specifically designed for our 10th anniversary and explores the roots of Petaluma, Friends of the Petaluma River as an organization, and Rivertown Revival itself. The piece (which will be transferred onto glass, up-cycled windows, and will look like stained glass) brings our focus back to the Petaluma River, and our relationship to the river throughout time.

Its this relationship that birthed Friends of the Petaluma River (it’s founder David Yearsley is pictured in upper outside corners) and brings us back to Rivertown each year in celebration. In this painting, the artist hopes to represent our own human connection, history, love and support for the Petaluma River as a symbiotic relationship between us and the ecosystems that surround us.
