Rivertown is Sensory Friendly
Rivertown is a HUGE party, and the visual and musical stimulation can feel like chaos to some people. In an effort to offer the best experience for all of our attendees, we will have Sensory Friendly kits filled with several calming items and toys, and an assortment of noise cancelling head phones available at the Medical Tent to use during the event. The medical tent will be located near the Kid’s Play Faire next to the Friends of the Petaluma Booth.
If you you know anyone who skips out on these types of events because they, or their child is easily overwhelmed, please pass this information on to them.
Kits will be available in our med tent.
Stephen Lockert
Although trying to flush his mother's jewelry box down the toilet, when first learning to walk, might not strike you as the marker of a curious mind, the fact that Stephen did it several times may tell a different story! This learning adventure was a preamble to many more focused attempts at wrangling understanding from a world of constraints, but it was certainly NOT the messiest.
Jim Lockert
Working with his father on residential construction sites, being a boat mechanic, endlessly tinkering at home and always looking for a path to use his skills to be helpful, Jim eventually found his way to making things for a living.

Beth Rose Hibbard
is a multi-media artist and educator rooted in the outskirts of Petaluma, California. Self identifying as a painter at a young age helped shape her early education and subsequent career in arts facilitation and advocacy. As a teenager, mural work became a bridge between community and the isolating reality of being a visual artist.
