Wonderstump

WonderStump is an immersive art experience and creative venue that will be opening its doors THIS SUMMER in downtown Petaluma!

WonderStump brings multimedia, story-driven environments to life—blending bold sculpture, interactive tech, and hands-on play to spark curiosity and connection. Part gallery, part playground, WonderStump invites visitors of all ages to enter otherworldly realms where you can touch the art, follow your curiosity, and lose yourself in the magic of the moment.

About the founders:

Josh Cardenas is a creative technologist, designer, and full-time dream-crafter. He brings imagination to life through light, sound, and spaces. He’s worked in visual effects, animation, and experience design. He co-directs Arts Alive Petaluma with Kirsten and spends his days building immersive, tech-infused wonderlands for the grand opening of WonderStump!

Kirsten Björe is an artist, educator, and creative shapeshifter. Her art speaks to close relationships, deep listening, and wild landscapes. She’s super into costume design, leather working, brass tools, and combing goat hair (ask her about it…the reason is more intriguing than you’d imagine). She is thrilled to be bringing a permanent immersive art space to Petaluma for all to enjoy!
